Kingsview consider training and development to be a key element contributing to continued growth and success.
For this reason, we have invested extensively to ensure that everyone, from directors to the labour force continue to possess the high level of competence required in our field.
Board-level directors and senior managers have attended the Site Safety Plus Scheme, (?) operated by the CITB. This scheme, formerly known as CSkills, seeks to further develop management skills and knowledge of health and safety legislation and practice.
A regular training-needs-analysis is conducted with key members of staff and skills assessments are undertaken monthly to identify areas for further development. Recent initiatives include the introduction of NVQ level 2 qualifications for all specialist plant and machine operators. We have recently enrolled one of our most experienced operators on an NVQ level 3 Assessors award and hope to achieve CPCS accredited centre status this year.
Kingsview also invest in students including sponsoring one of our younger workers to achieve a national certificate in civil engineering and supporting the Trident training programme by placing a local school pupil on work placement.
All employees of Kingsview have as a minimum the CSCS qualification or CPCS qualification for plant operators.
Under 21s also attend a minimum one-day safety awareness course and induction at our training centre before working on site.
